Flippity Board is operated by Swank Labs LLC, a Washington limited liability company ("we," "us," or "our"). This Privacy Statement explains how we collect, use, and share information when you use Flippity Board.

Information we collect
Information you provide
- Account information: Email address and password.
- Board content: Text, layout configurations, color choices, and other creative content you enter into the Flippity Board editor.
- Saved boards and preferences: Board configurations, display presets, and user settings you save to your account.
- Communications: Support messages, bug reports, and feedback you send us.
Information collected automatically
Device and app data
- Browser type, operating system, screen resolution, and app usage events such as features used, session length, and interactions.
- Website telemetry: On our website, if analytics are enabled under your cookie settings, we collect privacy-focused performance and usage telemetry through Vercel Web Analytics and Vercel Speed Insights to understand page usage and site performance.
Aggregated and de-identified data
We create aggregated and de-identified statistics to understand app performance, improve features, and develop insights. This data does not identify you and may be used for commercial or partnership purposes.
How we use information
We use your information to:
Provide and operate the Service
- Save and display your board configurations and preferences.
- Process exports (PNG, GIF, MP4) and manage download quotas.
- Manage your account, subscriptions, and entitlements.
Improve and secure the Service
- Debugging, analytics, feature optimization, and system monitoring.
- Detecting abuse, preventing fraud, and protecting users.
Process purchases and subscriptions
Manage subscriptions and purchases, including entitlement status and related transaction metadata (such as transaction identifiers, purchase date, and subscription status).
Communicate with you
- Service alerts, updates, and security notices.
- We may send marketing communications where legally permitted. You can opt out at any time by following the unsubscribe instructions in the message or by contacting us.
Sharing information
We share information only as necessary to operate Flippity Board.
Service providers
We use trusted third parties to process data on our behalf. They are bound by contractual obligations to protect your information and to use it only to provide services to us. Common categories include:
- Backend and authentication: Supabase for authentication, database storage, and user management.
- Website hosting and telemetry: Vercel for website hosting, Web Analytics, and Speed Insights.
- Purchases and subscriptions: Stripe for website checkout, payment processing, and entitlement status.
No ads and no sale of identifiable data
- We do not sell your identifiable data.
- We do not share information for cross-site advertising.
- We may use and share aggregated, fully de-identified insights for commercial or partnership use.
Data retention
- Account data: Deleted when your deletion request is processed, or within 28 days for support-assisted deletion requests, subject to limited exceptions below.
- Generated export files: Private export artifacts are deleted as part of account deletion workflows, subject to limited backup retention.
- Operational and security logs: May be retained for a limited period as needed to maintain security, prevent fraud, and comply with legal obligations.
- Aggregated and de-identified data: May be retained indefinitely because it cannot reasonably be linked back to you.
- Backups: Residual copies of certain data may persist in backups for a limited period, and are not used for any other purpose during that time.
Children and teen users
Flippity Board is available for users age 13 and older. Users under 18 receive additional default privacy protections.
If you are under 18, a parent or legal guardian must review and agree to the Terms on your behalf.
We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn that we have collected personal information from a child under 13 without verifiable parental consent, we will delete that information promptly. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, please contact us at info@flippityboard.com.
International data transfers
Flippity Board is operated from the United States. If you use Flippity Board from outside the United States, your information may be transferred to, stored in, and processed in the United States and other countries where our service providers operate. These countries may have data protection laws that differ from the laws of your jurisdiction. By using Flippity Board, you consent to the transfer of your information to the United States and other jurisdictions as described in this Statement.
Your rights
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have rights to:
- Access your data
- Delete your data
- Correct your data
- Opt out of marketing communications
- Appeal a decision we make regarding your privacy request
- Obtain a portable copy of your data (provided in a standard machine-readable format such as JSON)
- Restrict certain processing in some circumstances
